Our Management Team

Capitol Light is a service business, therefore our people are our greatest asset. Everyone on the team plays a vital role in our success, whether they are in management, design, sales, purchasing, accounting, or the warehouse. Below are just a few of the people who are contributing to making Capitol Light one of the leading lighting distributors in the nation.

David Mullane joined Capitol Light in 1984 and developed the national account business with an emphasis on specialty retailers. He expanded Capitol Light’s services over the years to include not only Lighting Design and New Construction Supply, but also Lamp Replacement which began in 1993 followed by the Capitol Light Maintenance Division in 1998. He has broadened Capitol Light’s target market to include auto dealerships, casinos, cinemas, financial institutions, hotels, and restaurants, day-care, healthcare and educational facilities. He promotes the use of ‘Green’ lighting technologies as outlined in our Sustainability Charter. He has built a loyal team of experienced, lighting professionals as well as a loyal customer base that he is happy to call family.

David enjoys golfing, skiing, being a private pilot and spending time with family two grandkids and friends.

Kim, a proud CT native, is married to her life partner Deborah and has one teenage son, (17 going on 30). ‘Do you know teenagers think they know way more than their parents and have no idea that their parents were ever teenagers? They believe we just woke up one day and we were adults so “we just don’t understand the pressures of being a teenager!” Kim loves her family, camping, shopping, traveling, her dogs Pooh and Dunkin, and of course trying to understand all those pressures associated with being a teenager in today’s world.

In 2011 he was promoted to overseeing National Account warehouse operations as well. He understands the unique challenges that multi-location customers face as well as his internal customers’ needs.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. When not with his family he spends his time relaxing in the outdoors hunting for the perfect fishing spot, or for perfect powder at his favorite ski resorts.
